30 Instagram Profiles For Single Moms To Follow Today (Updated)

To kick off my journey To 30 Blog Series, I would like to share some of my favorite Instagram profiles and brands with you. I will admit I’m such a millennial mom! So, social media has become a large part of my life over the last 20 years.

My first social profile was BlackPlanet at the young tender age of 10. Yes, I was trying to be grown… just sneaky. I think this was my first profile picture. LOL

As much as I get so upset with some of the stuff I see on social media, there is always some good shining through it. I have grown to like Facebook and Instagram, as I had to go cold turkey on Snapchat (it was too distracting). But Instagram has a special place in my heart.

I love Instagram because of the constant flow of beautiful, lively images. Whether it’s advice or just postings of family outings, it is pleasing to the eye. I even invested in a new phone, so my Instagram profile could have higher-quality images.

Instagram was created to provide a simple, fun, and creative way to edit and share pictures, videos, and messages with your family & friends. It has grown to be so much more, especially as the pandemic has forced everything to be online.

Social Media Statistics

In a study by Edison Research in 2019, research confirmed that 81% of moms spend significant time on social media. With most moms on Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram come in a strong 2nd and 3rd.

Did you know that moms spend an average of 17 hours a week scrolling social media feeds. That’s crazy!

Data from Weber Shandwick, shared that millennial moms are the biggest culprits  because of:

• Millennial Moms have more social network accounts and spend more time on their social networks than moms overall. Have 3.4 social media accounts, on average.
• Spend an average of 17.4 hours per week with their social networks, 2 hours more than they spend watching TV.
• Millennial moms also have a higher level of influence.

So why not use your social platforms to improve your mindset, help you become a better mother, and empower you to be the woman you were always created to be. I have transformed my social media feeds to reflect who I am now. They all focus on reminding me to focus on my spiritual life, improve relationships, and encourage me to pursue my passion in entrepreneurship and ministry.

1. Real Talk Kim     @realtalkkim

   • Real Talk Kim is the business! She speaks the truth and let it be known. She reminds me of the new age Joyce Meyers. Back then, we had Auntie Joyce but Auntie Kim is in the building. Pastor of Limitless Church, author, speaker, preacher, and so much more. I love coming across her post when I open my IG app.

2. Single Mom Outdoor Adventure & Travel @kaylashae_adventures

   • A fearless single mom seeing the world and doing it all with her child. She puts the ‘possible’ in travel for single moms. I enjoy seeing her reels and being inspired by the different trips she take.

3. The Single Moms Lounge @thesinglemomslounge

   • I am constantly engaging in this profile because it’s all about what I’m here for; Faith, Single Motherhood, and growth through support. Ashley N. Duffy creates great content to support single moms.

4. Don’t Call Me A Single Mother @dont_call_me_a_single_mother

   • Another amazing addition to the single mom community on Instagram. Author and mother of 5,  D’tra Gary, wrote a new book that is even on my list to read. She share her journey of overcoming being called a single mother. Check out her content and support her book.

5. Single Mom Legacy @singlemom_legacy

   • Kendria is an empowerment coach focused on helping single moms to slow down, reconnect, and live their best life. One special thing about this profile is that she covers all areas of single motherhood and posts great videos and discussions.

6. Thrive Single Moms @thrive_single_moms

   • Thrive Single Moms is a wonderful non-profit dedicated to engage, equip, and empower single moms. They also have a cute subscription box with full-size products, bible studies, and shares unique stories.

7. Single Black Motherhood @singleblackmotherhood

   • Kim has taken the single motherhood community by storm with relate-able content, life-changing events, and organizing awe-worthy retreats to help single moms move from surviving to thriving. You can find all things life, money, and travel on this page.

8. Coffee With Starla @coffeewithstarla

   • I found Coffee With Starla as I was trying to figure out my blogging journey as a christian blogger. I was immediately amazed by her assortment of scripture studies and devotionals. In addition, I love her mission of helping hurting hearts focus on Jesus.

9. Work Mom Repeat @work_mom_repeat

   • If you’re a working mom trying to figure out how to balance motherhood and career, then this is the Instagram profile for you. I will just allow you to see for yourself. After a long day at work, I see their post and it puts things in perspective.

10. Confessions of a Single Mom @singlemomsconfessions

    • A community page where the creator motivates and mentors single moms through their journey. Cute graphics with great wisdom, reflective questioning, and relateable content.

11. Samantha | Single Mom Success Coach @richsinglemomma

    • This amazing single mom coach connects your well-being to your financial future. Her content is centered around self-care practices, balance, and increasing income/wealth.

12. InstaEncouragements @instaencouragements

    • Need a quick dose of encouragement? This profile is perfect for you. And an added bonus is that it’s a faith-based online community led by a group of amazing women.

13. Single Mom Truths @singlemomtruths

    • Now this profile is my comic relief and dosage of realness regarding my single mom life. I laugh, cry, and get mad sometimes. But despite my circumstances, I know I can sit back, calm down, and laugh through the memes on this profile.

14. Cheryll Putt | Life Coach for Divorced Single Moms @divorcedmomsthriving

    • Cheryll is your go-to person and instagram page for all things healing post-divorce. She identifies the challenges and the joys found in the healing journey. She talks about single motherhood on the other side of divorce which is not talked about enough.

15. The Life Of A Single Mom @thelifeofasinglemom

    • Amazing, christian non-profit organization whose motto is #NoSingleMomWalksAlone. Jennifer Maggio and her amazing team minsters to single moms across the nation through local churches by providing events, online resources, books, prayer and single mom conferences.

16. Khalifa Araba @happy_singlemompodcast

    • If you want the realness and authenticity, stop at this IG page. Khalifa has an amazing podcast with over 100K downloads. I love finding other single mom resources in other parts of the world. Check out her content to see where she’s located and what she’s all about.

17. Grace For Single Parents @graceforsingleparents

    • This profile is the IG for a single parent blog by Jen Smith. She is an amazing mom who helps single moms through writing and encouragement. She also allows other single parents to have a voice on her platform as well.

18. Single Moms Travel @singlemomstravel

    • I started to follow this IG profile last year as I was planning on starting my travel journey in 2020 (thanks COVID). I love it because it’s a community of moms doing it all on their own and seeing the world through it.

19. Confident Woman Co. @confidentwomanco

    • Faith-based, biblical content curated to increase your confidence through the one who created you, God. With on-time post as well as a power-packed conference, Amanda Pittman, is equipping you to stand confidently with Jesus.

20. Better Together @bettertogethertv

    • This one is for my saved, saved Christian single moms who love to intake and consume all things Word of God with some of the most powerful WOGs of our time right now. I am constantly looking out for the newest episode of women gathering together, sharing stories, and uplifting the soverignty of God in their lives.

    • I like to think Audrey is a DIY unicorn. Her posts always encourage me to try something new whether it’s a recipe or trying a new product. If you’re a Pinterest lover, you will love her profile.

    • Need someone to hype you up? This is the profile for you. I envision myself becoming a force to reckon with and Female Hustlers make me feel like a Boss Babe looking at their post.

23. Whitney Davis- Comedian @justwhiti

    • Despite not being a single mom, this christian single woman puts the funny in the dating struggles of our time. She has a mix of faith-based content and belly hurting videos that will make you laugh so hard. Any chance I get I share her content with others becausr it’s so relatable as a single woman getting back out there.

    • This page and Youtube podcast has changed my life. If you don’t believe me, check it out for yourself. All things relationships, in marriage, singleness, and navigating according to God’s plan; it’s a must to subscribe.

    • My favorite feature of this is the adjunct profile called the Independent Mom Hub. Check it out yourself.

26. The Winning Single Mom @kaywandalamb

    • Want to write a book, learn Spanish, receive coaching on finances or dating? This profile is for you! Her content makes you feel like you have a homegirl right there with you supporting you, encouraging you, and pushing you to be the best you can be as a single mom.

27. Single Momin’ It @singlemominit.blog

    • Unique profile of two best friends rewriting their stories. With their beautiful pictures together and their encouraging post, you have no choice but to follow their journey.

    • I love the fact that this Instagram profile is in and out of my thoughts. You can get a dose of realness, inspiration, and comfort.

    • My forever virtual friend, fellow single mother, with an amazing blog and podcast centered around growing in your faith as a believer and single mom. I’ve been a guest on the podcast a couple times, so I can attest the content is worth checking out.

    • Last but not least, the list wouldn’t be complete without mentioning my own Instagram profile. Providing wisdom, encouragement, my own personal struggles to help other single moms to take hold of their life and their faith with confidence.
